On the fateful day of October 24th, 2008 Hudson’s family members, mother, Darnell Donerson and brother, Jason Hudson was both found dead in what was believed to be from gun shot wounds. In addition to them being found dead her nephew, 7 year old Julian King was missing and was believed to be kidnapped.
Early reports stated that estranged husband William Balfour was a suspect of the murders and was held for questioning even though not being formally charged with any crime. William Balfour who is no stranger to run-ins with the law has quite a criminal history including attempted murder, vehicular hijacking, possessions of a stolen vehicle, and nearly seven years in prison.
Eventually the body of the singers nephew was found at a street in Chicago’s West Side and in a 1994 Chevrolet Suburban. Later on reports stated the due to autopsy it was discovered that Julian was killed due to several gunshot wounds. Reports state that both the license plate and the vehicles description matched that of the AMBER alert.
In recent reports by the Associated Press, it seems that William Balfour the estranged bother in-law of Jennifer Hudson was infuriated with the sister of Jennifer Hudson, Julia for dating another man and even confronted the family earlier that day of October 24th, 2008. Balfour has been said to admit to the murders of the singers family members and is held as a prime suspect by the police authorities.
Born Jennifer Kate Hudson on September 12, 1981, Jennifer had a modest upbringing in Chicago where she was raised in a Baptist church. Jennifer rise to fame began when she was accepted to star in Fox televisions American Idol, a show that allows viewers to vote on the best performer of their choice. From their the winner receives a recording contract and is allowed to produce and record with the backing of a major recording company. From this opportunity Hudson was able to star in Dreamgirls which was produced by Dreamworks in conjunction with Paramount Pictures. The film was adapted from a 1981 Broadway play of the same name.
From her starring in Dreamgirls, Jennifers fame catapulted in the multitude. From her role in Dreamgirls she received several awards including an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, a Golden Globe Award, A BAFTA and SAG Award. On the musical side she has also been nominated for four Grammy Awards. Recently she has also appeared in the motion picture adaptation of the popular HBO series, “Sex In The City”.
When you look at the murders of Jennifer Hudson family members it is obvious that in this world people definitely take life so simple. The killer of the murders, whoever it may be should be fully prosecuted for those murders which comes off as such savagery including the fact that Julia’s nephew, in the autopsy reports had disjointed ligaments that prove to be very possible that the nephew was tortured before he was killed. Even though life lives on for Jennifer Hudson she still sheds “So Many Tears”.
